Eventually, someone at Adobe might approve my earlier post and you will see all the links I suggested earlier. There is less messing about with alternative phonetic spellings to get it to sound halfway decent and you don’t need your own recording studio to use your own voice (I have too many other things to prepare to worry about narration). Their product is the next best thing to hiring a voice actor to record narration for you. If you are unsatisfied with the Neospeech voices included with Captivate as you mentioned, perform a google search for Well Said Labs. If you have an account with Amazon you already have access to this text to speech alternative. You can also consider an alternative like Amazon Polly. They can sell you additional voices but they will run you anywhere from $1000 USD to $1300 USD depending on your use case. These are the folks that created the voices in Adobe Captivate. In the meantime I can give you part of my previous answer without the links. If you participate actively in this community, as I and others have, Adobe will literally (a better example of when you should use this word) give you a free copy of Captivate or other eLearning software. Could you let me know where I can purchase voices and install them The text-to-speech software is an alternative but I believe it’ll better to embed the voice in Captivate and. Unfortunately, the default and free voices you have for Captivate 2017 (David, Zira, Bridget, Chloe, James, Julie, Paul, etc) are not good enough for my audience. ![]() ![]() Sure, in some cases I had people ask for things like drag and drop before they were available from Adobe.
